Our vision is an inclusive Australia where cultural diversity and community connection enhance the lives of all.

To support the delivery of our ambitious strategic plan, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our Executive Leadership Team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO is Spectrum's senior operational leader and acts as the organisation's second-in-command. This critical executive role leads all service operations across Spectrum, ensuring services are safe, effective, culturally responsive, evidence-informed and financially sustainable.

  • Build workforce capability and strengthen a high-performing, values-driven culture.
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to implement strategic priorities and organisational change.
  • Ensure operational readiness and sustainability for future growth opportunities.

About You

We are seeking an accomplished executive leader with a clinical, nursing, allied health or professional practice background, combined with significant leadership experience in complex human services environments.

You will bring:

  • Executive leadership experience within aged care, health, community services, settlement or related human services sectors.
  • A commitment to culturally responsive and person-centred practice that improves outcomes for migrant and refugee communities.
  • Strong expertise in quality systems, safeguarding, governance, compliance and risk management.
  • Experience leading large and complex service delivery portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success driving organisational performance, transformation and service improvement.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and service sustainability.
  • Experience operating within regulated and government-funded environments.
  • Exceptional leadership capability, with a track record of building high-performing teams and organisational culture.

Why Join Spectrum?

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of Victoria's leading multicultural organisations.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside a committed Executive Leadership Team and Board.
